Changing your lifestyle is not as easy as people may think. As a coach, we notice several barriers that keep people from reaching their fitness potential, impacting their overall wellness. Many people make three common mistakes: not being able to accept their reality, focusing on weight and fearing calories, and not learning why and how our bodies operate. Overcoming these obstacles will put you on the path to achieving your fitness and wellness goals.
Being fit is not all about having a six pack, the slimiest waistline, or the ‘perfect body’. Living a healthy lifestyle will ensure that your body is well taken care of, and you will look how you feel. Set personal, realistic goals and work towards accomplishing them. Whether it is being able to walk upstairs without becoming out of breath, being able to play with your kids or grandkids in the yard, becoming a better well-rounded athlete, overall health, losing weight, or living longer.
